Students
All students who will be in-person on UConn’s campuses are required to be up-to-date on COVID-19 vaccinations. Up-to-date means an individual has complete a primary series and received any boosters against COVID-19 for which they are eligible. The goal of this policy is to help safeguard health and wellness on our campuses and in our communities by reducing the risk that the virus will be transmitted and cause illness, particularly in high-density congregant settings such as residence halls, dining halls, and classrooms. To date, UConn's on-campus student vaccination rate far exceeds state and national figures.

Vaccines are widely available, and we urge our students to be vaccinated if you have not already done so.
Student Health and Wellness (SHaW) is providing COVID-19 vaccines by appointment to our Storrs-based graduate and undergraduate students. To view the schedule and secure a dose, visit the SHaW patient portal. A student ID is required.
International students may find details on vaccination and other requirements on the International Student & Scholar Services website.
Step #2: Vax Up
Students who are up-to-date on vaccinations have completed a primary series and received any eligible boosters of an authorized COVID-19 vaccine.
Step #3: Put Your Photo Up
Students must have uploaded their vaccination status, whether complete or partial, to the Student Health Portal by July 31st. Vaccination status is protected health information and will not be publicly disclosed.
Faculty and Staff
As of August 18, 2021, the University of Connecticut and all of its campuses, including UConn Health, required employees to receive a vaccination for COVID-19 or be granted a deferral or a medical or religious exemption — a policy with which an overwhelming number of UConn employees has complied. The policy requires employees to report their vaccination status through an online University system.
Beginning June 1, 2022, the University’s Mandatory Workforce COVID-19 Vaccination Policy will conclude weekly mandatory testing for existing employees, and unvaccinated new employees will not be required to apply for a religious or medical exemption and will not be subject to weekly testing.
Visit the Human Resources website for the latest COVID-19-related information for employees.
